This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in construction, restoration, and project management. You will work directly alongside experienced Project Managers and leadership teams while learning how to manage residential and commercial rebuild projects following water, mold, fire, and storm-related losses.

This is not a desk-only role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on in the field, problem-solving, helping lead projects, and learning the ins and outs of reconstruction and restoration management.

Position Summary

The Assistant Repair Project Manager supports the oversight and coordination of residential and commercial reconstruction projects after water, mold, fire, and other property losses. This role assists with project scheduling, job site coordination, customer communication, subcontractor management, estimating support, quality control, and hands-on field operations.

This position is designed as a developmental role with the opportunity to grow into a full Repair Project Manager position over time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with coordinating residential and commercial repair and reconstruction projects
  • Support day-to-day job site operations to help ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and team members
  • Participate in job site walkthroughs, inspections, and scope reviews
  • Assist with scheduling subcontractors, material deliveries, and project timelines
  • Help maintain accurate job documentation, notes, reports, and communication updates
  • Learn estimating processes and assist with estimate review and job costing support
  • Perform hands-on field work including demolition, repairs, installations, punch work, and site cleanup as needed
  • Assist with quality control inspections and ensure work is completed to company standards
  • Help monitor safety compliance and maintain organized job sites
  • Support material ordering, inventory coordination, and project logistics
  • Learn restoration and reconstruction processes through hands-on training and mentorship
  • Assist with responding to emergency service needs and changing business demands
  • Perform additional duties and operational support as assigned

Requirements & Skills

  • Previous construction, restoration, mitigation, or trades experience preferred but not required
  • Strong desire to learn project management and grow within the Restoration Industry
  • Comfortable working in both field and operational environments
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt in fast-paced environments
  • Positive attitude with leadership potential and eagerness to learn
  • Basic computer and technology skills required
  • Xactimate or estimating software experience is a plus but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License with safe driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background screening
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing, and working in varying job site environments
  • Ability to travel to nearby locations and participate in on-call rotations as business demands require
