Position Summary
The Fire & Contents Field Supervisor assists with overseeing fire, smoke, contents, pack-out, and restoration-related projects while supporting technicians in the field and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and professionally.
This role remains heavily hands-on while also taking on leadership responsibilities such as technician oversight, job site coordination, customer communication, inventory management, and documentation support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and assist Fire & Contents Technicians on residential and commercial restoration projects
- Oversee contents pack-outs, furniture moving, inventory documentation, cleaning processes, and contents manipulation on job sites
- Carefully handle, pack, move, and transport customer contents and furniture to prevent damage
- Perform and supervise smoke residue cleaning from contents and structures
- Assist with job site setup, cleanliness, organization, and post-job cleaning
- Photograph, identify, label, and inventory contents accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers, adjusters, vendors, and team members regarding job progress and expectations
- Help coordinate schedules and ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain timely documentation, job notes, and communication updates
- Support field operations and step into technician responsibilities as needed
- Assist with contents estimating and scope documentation when applicable
- Ensure company equipment, vehicles, and supplies remain clean, maintained, and operational
- Follow IICRC standards and company restoration processes on all projects
- Participate in overtime, emergency response, and on-call rotations as needed
- Perform additional duties and cross-training opportunities within restoration services
Requirements & Skills
- Prior fire, contents, moving, restoration, or mitigation experience preferred
- Contents estimating experience preferred
- Leadership or crew lead experience preferred
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to lead by example in the field
- Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable supervising technicians while also performing hands-on work
- Eagerness to continue learning and growing within the Restoration Industry
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and extensive background screening
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, lifting, bending, working at heights, and working in confined spaces while wearing PPE
- Available for full-time work with overtime and on-call rotations
