Human Resources Support
In this role, you will be a critical piece of the Human Resources department. The Human Resources Support team member will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resource department.
This role will be Full-Time and onsite. Full benefits package available.
This role will report to the Human Resources Manager. The experience of the candidate will determine the level of the positon offered including but not limited to Assistant, Specialist, or Generalist level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Manager.
- Assist the HR Manager in submitting online job postings, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews, and screening candidates.
- Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
- Assists in the coordination of company wide training and performance reviews.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- May assist with IT functions including licensing assignments, account creations, performance checks, and minor IT troubleshooting.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods based on work assignments
Education & Experience:
- Prior office setting experience required
- High School Diploma required – secondary education preferred
- Experience with handling confidential information required
- Certification in HR - SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, aPHR, PHR, or equivalent encouraged
