Technician

Your Responsibilities as a Lead Technician
You’ll be a key member of our production team, providing on-site, hands on, management of restoration services.
Here are some of the -things you will do:
- Respond to emergency calls within the prescribed time frame. Inspect the loss using IR imaging and moisture meters.
- Document and scope using industry specific apps and floor plan programs.
- Communicate all required information to all relevant parties.
- Secure all signed documents that are required before work can commence.
- Manage restoration projects from initial inspection to completion.
- Perform restoration projects, including controlled demolition and debris removal, water extraction using truck mounted and portable extraction systems, structural drying using specialized equipment
- Monitor and document drying progress daily.
- Adjust equipment and containment as needed to optimize efficiency
- Manage the maintenance of all assigned vehicles and equipment
- Assist in maintaining a service schedule to ensure all service is delivered to meet customer and carrier requirements
- Communicate with customers throughout restoration process
- Inspect job sites frequently to verify the scope of work is being performed correctly, that it meets the projected timeline and that it complies with Rainbow Restoration standards
How to be Successful as a Lead Technician
Your success as a Lead Technician is entirely within your control.
We won’t sugarcoat it; this can be a tough job. You’ll often work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and other rooms in homes that are contaminated due to fire or flood or other damage. You can’t be afraid to get dirty.

-You are comfortable using hand and power tools and fully understand the science of structural drying.
Job Requirements for the Lead Technician
- Must hold current IICRC certification
- Must have TPA experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of water loss technician
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass annual background checks
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
- Must be able to wear PPE including respiratory equipment
- Must be available to work after hours, and on rotation for emergency calls.
- Must have a successful record leading and inspiring teams.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour with on-call bonuses and overtime available.
