Job Description

Rainbow Restoration of Chesapeake is looking for a driven Operations Manager who thrives on ownership, leadership, excellence, and delivering results. You'll lead restoration projects from start to finish, restoring homes and businesses impacted by water, mold and disaster events -- while upholding our core values of Professionalism, Integrity, Tenacity, Community, and Honor.

If you’re ready to start a career where you do something different every day and enjoy knowing that you’re making a difference in the lives of our customers and team members, we want to talk to you!

Why You Should Join Our Team as an Operations Manager

* We invest in you. From day one, we provide the training and support you need to excel. We'll help you earn advanced industry certifications and reward you as you maintain and grow them -- so your skills (and your paycheck) keep climbing.

* This is a career, not just a position. You'll have the autonomy to manage projects, lead teams, and directly influence outcomes. As our company grows, your growth opportunities expand right along with us. Your success is our success.

* You’ll be helping people when they need it most. Be a leader who guides customers through some of their toughest days, restoring not just their property, but their peace of mind. You and your team will make a tangible, positive impact in the community every single day.

* This is a stable industry with long-term opportunity. Disasters happen --- and whey they do, restoration professionals are essential. That means you'll have a secure future putting your leadership and expertise to work in a field that truly matters.

Your Responsibilities as an Operations Manager

You’ll be a key component of our team leading a team to provide restoration services to our customers. As you grow in experience, here are some of the things you will do:

  • Lead daily operations to deliver high-quality disaster restoration and cleaning services.
  • Manage budgets, cost controls, and cash flow to meet company targe
  • Hire, train, develop, and mentor operations staff and managers.
  • Oversee equipment, vehicle, and inventory management.
  • Implement and optimize processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Owner/General Manager to set and achieve strategic goals.
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Support a culture that values safety, accountability, and high performance.

How to be Successful as an Operations Manager

  • 3+ years in operations management, ideally in restoration, construction, or a related field, including managing managers.
  • Strong business acumen across operations, sales, administration, and financials.
  • Proven ability to read P&L, cashflow, and drive KPIs.
  • Excellent communications, team building, and coaching skills.
  • Adaptable leader who can navigate change and inspire others.
  • A customer-first mindset and action oriented
  • A passion for doing what's right -- even when no one is watching

We won’t sugarcoat it; this can be a tough job. You’ll often work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and other rooms in a home that are contaminated due to water or mold or other damage. You can’t be afraid to get dirty.

You’ll be a great fit to grow in this role if:

You lead with empathy and professionalism. You know how to provide exceptional customer service, show genuine care, and maintain a professional presence --- even when customers are going through stressful situations.

You have an eye for detail and a commitment to doing things right. You understand the importance of thorough documentation and using technology to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and on budget.

You thrive in a team environment. You're dedicated to excellence, eager to step in wherever needed, and help create a positive, accountable culture that lives out our core values every day.

You're resilient and solution-focused. You stay positive adaptable, enjoy tackling new challenges, and show up ready to handle whatever each day brings --- whether it's managing crews, walking loss sites, or solving operational puzzles.

You're hands-on and comfortable in diverse environments. From crawl spaces to conference tables, you're willing to get your hands dirty and ensure jobs are done right.

You take pride in proper documentation and compliance. You know this protects the company, the customer, and the team --- and you're passionate about keeping accurate records that tell the story of each project.
